Our Mission

Our History

The Bow Valley, home to Bowness, has been a gathering place for thousands of years. Indigenous peoples have occupied this land since the end of the last ice age, around 10,500 years ago. Archeological evidence reveals the Nitsitapii (Blackfoot) have called this area home for over a millennium, joined by the Stoney, Cree, and Tsuu T’ina peoples from the 16th century onward.
